We operate all over the world with people who can help to realize our purpose.

Our founder

Erik Nielsen founded Biosa in 2002. His passion for fermentation and microorganisms started in 1994, when he first learned about the far-reaching properties of microorganisms. He quickly became fascinated and convinced of their effectiveness. Erik’s passion and determination led to the creation of Biosa, and today we produce products for people, animals, and soil, sold in over 30 countries worldwide.

Before Biosa

In the mid-80s, he left behind a fast-paced business life and became a biodynamic farmer. It was his search for sustainable technologies for organic farming that led him to start researching and experimenting with fermentation and the impact of microorganisms on plant growth, as well as on animals' and humans' health.

"I could see that microorganisms brought new life in an effective and sustainable way, so I set out to learn more about them. The goal was to develop products with microorganisms that were organic, effective, and sustainable."

I was fascinated by how plants' growth and strength could be significantly enhanced by adding microorganisms to the soil.
